The Sunday Morning Post #2

January 26th, 2025

Welcome to the 2nd edition of the Sunday Edition of the AB Post. Its been quite a few weeks since we launched the publication and visitors to the website continue to exceed all expectations.

As the Editor with the responsibility of determining what news topics we focus our resources on it has brought back many memories from when I was the news director for the Coast Radio network chain out on the coast - and even my early days as Editor of the Tri City Post, a newspaper in Cold Lake back in the early 90s where it was the early days of computers and we still used a wax machine to cut and paste content on to large sheets which would then be taken to the printers.

I try to find a balance of news to bring to our readership and not get focused on just crime which unfortunately is so prominent in our world. Most importantly, I do my best as I always have with our Facebook group to provide an unbiased and balanced approach to all subject matter. The world doesn’t need any more division and my goal will always be to present the news based on facts - and provide coverage to both sides of any issue.

Most importantly - you can trust that any article or news story ever published is the truth and there can be no acquisition of “ fake news “ just because you may not agree with the facts.

I hope you enjoy this Sunday edition - and as always welcome your feedback.

Sunday Edition Exclusive - The Final Report on the Nova Scotia Mass Shooting Attack

In April 2020, in the first weeks of the COvID-19 pandemic, the most lethal mass shooting in Canadian civilian history unfolded over 13 terrible hours in Nova Scotia when Gabriel Wortman shot and killed 22 people while driving a replica RCMP cruiser.

On December 4th of this past year, the Commission tasked with investigating the RCMP’s response and handling of the events published its final report - a 7 volume massive document that is more than 3200 pages long.

In this exclusive feature - we examine the report and the events of that day and what the RCMP’s final report determined about the day that changed our country forever.

Thanks to the amazing technology of Google’s NOTEBOOK LM document summary software, we were also able to compile a full length podcast that summarizes the entire 3200 pages of the RCMP’s investigation in a fascinating 20 minute - must listen to podcast. You can listen to the summary below.
